Ingredients

Makes 10 servings

  • 6 - Eggs, Separated

  • 1 1/2 cups - Almond flour

  • 3 tsp - Baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp - Salt

  • 1/4 tsp - Cream of tartar

  • 1/4 cup - Butter, melted

 

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Generously grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan with cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper. Set aside.

  • Add egg whites to a medium bowl. Using a hand mixer, beat well the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

  • In another bowl, combine together almond flour, baking powder, salt, and cream of tartar. Mix well using a kitchen mixer and then add butter and egg yolks. Using a hand mixer fitted with dough hooks, beat the mixture on medium speed until fully incorporated.

  • Fold in egg whites in several batches and mix until you get a smooth batter. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 30 minutes.

  • When done, remove from the oven and cool to room temperature before removing the bread from the pan.
